Gameplay strategies: The Hero is the first JRPG-like Smash Bros. Any other than that, the game works perfectly fine, although it would be awesome to have 4 player battles running at the correct framerate to fully enjoy this game on the go, I believe that with a little bit more of optimization it could be achieved. Release date: The Hero released on July 30, 2019. In fact, the game originally dropped to slower fps than 60 on real hardware when 4 characters were on screen, but it wasn't so noticeable due to the music remaining at the speed it should.Īudio still goes out of sync during the intro (tested with both sync and async) and slows down if you use frame-limit to play at 60fps, and the clouds of Yoshi's Island stage are incorrectly coloured (blue instead of white). With audio disabled, 4 player battles run almost perfectly (getting close to the original 60fps target) the most annoying part IMO is music slowing down that much, which gives a greater feeling of unstable performance due to the noise that it's produced: even if you let the audio enabled, the game seems to run pretty decently if you mute the volume of the PSVita. It remains like that in menus and 1 vs 1 battles without many particles or objects onscreen, which makes it pretty playable, although it sways between 50-60 fps in 3 player battles and between 40-50 fps in 4 player battles. Just checked it out with Daedalus 0.4, and it locks at 71.9 fps (should be 60fps).
